The device is employed in automation installations for starting up asynchronous three-phase motors. It provides contacts for direct activation of star, delta and main relays.

Moreover, it provides the contacts for direct connection of START and STOP buttons as well as the AUTOMATIC OPERATION switch, thus providing a complete solution as an electrical start up automation.

It is installed in an electrical panel on a standard relay socket.

It operates as a timer relay (3-30 sec) for switching from star to delta, after a command from either the push button or the automatic operation switch. Apart from the basic start time before switching from star to delta (3-30 sec), an intermediate transition time (20 - 300 ms) can be adjusted, in order to avoid the electromagnetic coupling of the two relays and their simultaneous activation.
